In Mark 7:25-28 Jesus referred to deliverance as the “children’s bread.” This is part of our salvation and inheritance in Christ as God’s children. Lord Jesus was so brutally beaten, marred, and tortured so severely that the Bible says He was unrecognizable as a man (Isa. 52:14). After His flesh was violently ripped off his body by Roman torture experts, Jesus then had to carry a wooden cross over his back and shoulders where his tendons and muscles were likely hanging out, and His skin was completely gone or hanging in shreds. Lord Jesus had zero protection from the rubbing of the wood against His open wounds as He walked the distance to Golgatha. Once He arrived, Lord Jesus had to endure more gruesome torture as nails were driven into his hands and feet and He was raised on the cross leading to a slow asphyxiation. The sheer agony that Jesus chose to endure for us so we could be saved, healed, and delivered should motivate us to contend for these promises until they manifest in our lives. Lord Jesus paid the absolute highest price imaginable so we get to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit along with Jesus’ delegated authority over Satan (Lk. 10:19). This means we should be walking in increasingly tangible and measurable victory in our lives.
Throughout most of His earthly ministry, Jesus demonstrated profound acts of healing and deliverance. The Bible says God anointed Jesus of Nazareth to go around healing all who were oppressed by the devil (Acts 10:38). Anyone who tells you that God wants you oppressed and sick has not read their Bible! Jesus’ actions were not limited to preaching and teaching; they extended to liberating those bound by illness and demonic influence, restoring life, and offering hope to the brokenhearted and downtrodden. Unfortunately, the significance of these biblical principles is often underemphasized in Western churches, leading to congregations that are plagued by ailments, afflictions, soul wounds, and demonic torment. Additionally, without biblical teaching on healing and deliverance for the Christian leaders, ministers risk hurting rather than helping the flock.
I will be offering more teaching and training resources on this vital topic. Currently, I am working on a healing and deliverance course that is based on the Bible, and my many years of experience in healing and deliverance ministry. This course will include not only biblical teaching and training but also a safe place for others to ask questions and receive Holy Spirit-led prayer and encouragement.
When I work with clients in one-on-one sessions, healing, and deliverance often come up because it’s so needed in the Body of Christ and many have not been trained in this area. This course will be excellent for those who need healing and deliverance themselves, those who want to learn how to do self-deliverance, and those who want to learn how to minister healing and deliverance to others by the power of the Holy Spirit. If you are interested in taking this course please sign up below now so I can see who is interested and so I will be able to contact you with course updates.
